Refund for pre-ordered photo op?

I just now saw on the Dragon Con website that Cary Elwes has canceled (Noooooo!). I had already pre-ordered a photo op with him. Will I automatically receive a refund or is there a process I need to go through?

I know, I was crushed when I saw that Cary cancelled. I had my Princess Bride shirt ready to go for my photo op and everything! :-(

You won't be able to get a refund until DC is over ( that is just Froggy's policy) but you will have the option of exchanging it for another photo op. you have to do it there at DC though. This happened to me with Adam Baldwin last year.

Yup, Froggy won't refund till after the con. It's kind of a jerky thing to do since it takes about 3 mouse clicks to refund through paypal.

But that's just my opinion. :)

They actually just gave me a refund for the Cary Elwes photo op... all you have to do is include your transaction ID.

Wow, thank you so much for letting me know! I'm going to email Froggy today with the information. So glad I won't have to wait until after the con for a refund.

I emailed Froggy's about this exact issue last night. Really disappointed that Cary can't make it, though kinda secretly relieved because this means I can't make a fool of myself in front of him :\


Got an email from them this afternoon asking for my Paypal transaction ID, and rec'd my refund just a few minutes ago.

I got a refund last year for a canceled guest at the con the first day there. I didn't have to wait until the con was over. Note: they only refund the cost of the ticket and not any transaction fees - that's gone so if you want to exchange it you're a little better off (assuming there is someone else you are interested in).

Looks like Froggy is already giving refunds, but thank you for the tip on possibly exchanging it instead. Dare I hope Adam Baldwin doesn't cancel?

I guess they finally hired someone with computer and customer service skills. Either that or it's the end of the world and this is the first sign of the apocolypse.
